Solar & Battery Installers in Port Macquarie
Port Macquarie has warm, humid summers, mild winters and plenty of sun, which makes it a good place for solar. The region runs from beachside homes at Lighthouse Beach and Lake Cathie to the farming hinterland around Wauchope. We travel to Port Macquarie and the Hastings to install solar panels and home batteries for homes and businesses.
Our services
Residential solar from 6 kW
Our systems generally start at 6 kW and are sized from your bills. Air conditioning and a pool usually mean a bigger system.
Home batteries
Store your daytime solar for the evening. Batteries are cheaper thanks to the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program. We apply the discount upfront, so there’s nothing to claim later. Until 31 December 2026 it’s about $270 per kWh for the first 14 kWh of usable capacity at today’s certificate prices, tapering for larger batteries, and it reduces again on 1 January 2027.
Commercial solar
Shops, offices, clinics and light industrial sites around Port Macquarie often run through the day. We’ll give you a clear proposal.
In NSW you may also be eligible for an upfront incentive under the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme when you connect your battery to a virtual power plant (VPP). It’s paid on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity, through participating VPP providers.

Humidity, salt and summer storms
Humid summers keep air conditioners busy, which makes solar and a battery a good match. Near the beach, salt and moisture are tough on metal, so we use panels tested for salt-mist exposure, such as under IEC 61701, with corrosion-resistant fixings. Inverters and batteries go in sheltered, ventilated spots, and batteries are installed to the Australian battery standard, AS/NZS 5139.
North coast storms can bring heavy rain and strong winds, so we use mounting rated for your site’s wind conditions and seal roof penetrations carefully. On hinterland acreage around Wauchope, a shed roof can be a good alternative to the house, and we’ll check the structure and cable run before recommending it.
Frequently asked questions
Do coastal homes need special equipment?
Close to the beach, salt-mist rated panels and corrosion-resistant fixings are worth it. We’ll check the warranty conditions too.
Which network is Port Macquarie on?
Essential Energy. We handle the connection paperwork.
Is a battery worth it?
It depends on how much solar you export and when you use power. We’ll show you the expected savings before you decide.
