For batteries installed by 31 December 2026 it works out at roughly $270 per kWh of usable capacity for the first 14 kWh at current certificate prices, with a smaller discount for capacity above 14 kWh. The rate steps down on 1 January 2027.

In NSW you may also be eligible for an upfront incentive under the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme when you connect your battery to a virtual power plant (VPP). It’s paid on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity, through participating VPP providers.

Cold, clear winter days are good for solar panels, because panels work more efficiently when they’re cool. The trade-off is shorter days, so we design around your winter usage as well as your summer output. Batteries also have temperature limits, so we choose where a battery goes carefully, such as a garage or shed wall, and install to the Australian battery standard, AS/NZS 5139.
