For batteries installed by 31 December 2026 it works out at roughly $270 per kWh of usable capacity for the first 14 kWh at current certificate prices, with a smaller discount above 14 kWh. The rate steps down on 1 January 2027.

On top of that, the NSW Government’s Peak Demand Reduction Scheme offers an upfront payment if you join a virtual power plant (VPP) through a participating provider. The incentive is calculated on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity.

Many newer homes have hip roofs broken into several smaller faces, with vents, skylights and air conditioning units in the way. A north-facing roof isn’t essential. East and west faces spread production across the morning and late afternoon, which can suit families who are out during the middle of the day. We design the panel layout around your roof shape and your routine.
If you have an EV or are planning one, solar and a battery change the maths. Charging from solar in the middle of the day, or from a battery overnight, is usually much cheaper than peak-rate grid power. We’ll factor your car’s charging into the system size, and we can plan for a charger even if you don’t buy the car yet.
