Solar & Battery Installers in Cowra
Cowra sits on the Lachlan River, surrounded by farming country, with hot summers and frosty winters. The November 2022 flood, when the river at Cowra passed 14 metres for the first time since 1952, was a reminder that location matters. We travel to Cowra and the surrounding district to install solar panels and home batteries for homes, farms and local businesses.
Our services
Residential solar from 6 kW
Our systems generally start at 6 kW and are sized from your bills.
Home batteries
Use your stored solar in the evening, when summer cooling or winter heating peaks. Eligible batteries get an upfront discount through the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which we take off your quote. For batteries installed by 31 December 2026 it works out at roughly $270 per kWh of usable capacity for the first 14 kWh at current certificate prices, with a smaller discount above 14 kWh. The rate steps down on 1 January 2027.
Farm and business solar
Machinery sheds, workshops and local businesses often use most of their power in daylight hours. We’ll give you a clear proposal.
In NSW you may also be eligible for an upfront incentive under the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme when you connect your battery to a virtual power plant (VPP). It’s paid on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity, through participating VPP providers.

River flats, sheds and inland weather
If your home or shed is on low ground near the Lachlan or one of its creeks, where the battery and inverter go matters. We’ll talk to you about mounting them higher up and away from likely flood water, within the rules of the Australian battery standard, AS/NZS 5139. Panels on the roof are usually well clear, but switchboards and batteries are not.
Away from the river, the usual inland considerations apply. Hot summers trim panel output slightly, so we choose panels with a good temperature rating and leave airflow underneath. Storms can bring hail, so we use panels that meet the IEC 61215 standard, which includes hail impact testing. On farms, a shed roof can carry more panels than the house, and we’ll work out which makes more sense.
