Solar & Battery Installers in Coffs Harbour
Coffs Harbour is warm and humid, with lush green hills, banana and blueberry farms, and a wetter climate than much of NSW. That means more cloudy days than inland towns, but plenty of strong sun in between. We travel to Coffs Harbour and the surrounding coast to install solar panels and home batteries for homes, farms and businesses.
Our services
Residential solar from 6 kW
Our systems generally start at 6 kW and are sized from your bills, with realistic output estimates for the local climate.
Home batteries
Store your solar for the evening and smooth out cloudy spells. Eligible batteries get an upfront discount through the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which we take off your quote. For batteries installed by 31 December 2026 it works out at roughly $270 per kWh of usable capacity for the first 14 kWh at current certificate prices, with a smaller discount above 14 kWh. The rate steps down on 1 January 2027.
Farm and business solar
Blueberry and banana growers, packing sheds, shops and offices often use power during the day. We’ll review your bills and give you a clear proposal.
On top of that, the NSW Government’s Peak Demand Reduction Scheme offers an upfront payment if you join a virtual power plant (VPP) through a participating provider. The incentive is calculated on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity.

Rain, humidity and hillside blocks
Frequent rain keeps panels clean, but humidity and salt near the beach are hard on metal and electronics. We use panels tested for salt-mist exposure, such as under IEC 61701, corrosion-resistant fixings, and inverters with suitable weather ratings, mounted in sheltered spots. Roof penetrations are sealed carefully, because heavy rain finds any weakness.
Many homes around Coffs sit on hillsides with views, which can mean steep roofs and trickier access. On farms, a packing shed roof may be the best place for panels. Batteries should go somewhere ventilated and out of the weather, installed to the Australian battery standard, AS/NZS 5139. Because cloudy spells are more common here, we size systems and batteries with realistic local output in mind.
Frequently asked questions
Does solar work with all the rain?
Yes. Output is lower on cloudy days, but sunny days in between are strong. We base estimates on local conditions.
Which network covers Coffs Harbour?
Essential Energy. We handle the connection application.
Can solar help my farm?
If you use power during the day for pumps, cool rooms or packing, solar can offset a lot of it. We’ll look at your bills.
