Solar & Battery Installers on the Central Coast

Solar and batteries from the Peninsula to the northern lakes
All-black solar panels with black frames

The Central Coast covers a lot of ground: beachside homes at Terrigal and Avoca, the Woy Woy Peninsula, lakeside suburbs around Tuggerah Lake and Budgewoi, and bushland hinterland further west. Each brings different conditions for solar. We travel up from Narrabeen to install solar panels and home batteries for homes and businesses across the coast.

Our services

Residential solar from 6 kW
Our systems generally start at 6 kW, and we size from your bills and roof.

Home batteries
Store your daytime solar and use it in the evening peak. Batteries are cheaper thanks to the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program. We apply the discount upfront, so there’s nothing to claim later. Until 31 December 2026 it’s about $270 per kWh for the first 14 kWh of usable capacity at today’s certificate prices, tapering for larger batteries, and it reduces again on 1 January 2027.

Commercial solar
Warehouses at Somersby, West Gosford and Tuggerah, along with shops and offices across the coast, often have big daytime loads. We’ll give you a clear proposal.

On top of that, the NSW Government’s Peak Demand Reduction Scheme offers an upfront payment if you join a virtual power plant (VPP) through a participating provider. The incentive is calculated on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity.

Beach, lake and bush: three different jobs

Close to the surf, salt spray settles on everything, so we use panels tested for salt-mist exposure, such as under IEC 61701, and stainless or corrosion-resistant fixings. Around the lakes, many homes are low-set and some streets are flood-prone. If that’s you, we’ll talk about mounting the battery and inverter higher up and away from likely flood water, in line with the Australian battery standard, AS/NZS 5139.

Up in the hinterland and on bush-backed blocks, shade from trees and bushfire risk are the bigger considerations. We place panels on the sunniest parts of the roof and use panel-level electronics where shade can’t be avoided. Wherever you are on the coast, we’ll explain how the design suits your site.

Frequently asked questions

Do coastal homes need special panels?
Close to the surf, panels and fixings rated for salt-mist conditions are a good idea. We’ll check the warranty conditions too.

Who is the network on the Central Coast?
Ausgrid. We handle the connection paperwork.

Is a battery worth it?
It depends on how much solar you export and when you use power. We’ll show you the expected savings before you decide.
