Solar & Battery Installers in Avalon Beach
Avalon Beach is all steep streets, spotted gums and homes tucked into the bush, from the plateau down to Careel Bay and Clareville. That makes for beautiful places to live, but tricky roofs: steep pitches, split levels, tree shade and narrow access. We’re based nearby in Narrabeen and install solar panels and home batteries for Avalon homes, holiday houses and local businesses.
Our services
Residential solar from 6 kW
Our systems generally start at 6 kW. We size from your bills and check how much of your roof actually gets sun through the year.
Home batteries
Run your evenings on your own solar. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program cuts the price of eligible batteries, and the discount comes straight off your quote. Installed before the end of 2026, it’s worth around $270 for each kWh of usable storage up to 14 kWh (based on current certificate prices). Storage beyond 14 kWh attracts less, and the rate drops from 1 January 2027.
Village business solar
Cafes, shops and studios around Avalon village use power through the day, which suits solar. We’ll review your bills and give you a clear proposal.
On top of that, the NSW Government’s Peak Demand Reduction Scheme offers an upfront payment if you join a virtual power plant (VPP) through a participating provider. The incentive is calculated on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity.

Steep blocks, gum trees and holiday homes
Many Avalon homes sit on steep, bush-covered blocks. Getting panels and equipment onto the roof can need extra planning and safety gear. Tall gums cast moving shade, so we position panels on the sunniest parts of the roof and, where needed, use microinverters or optimisers so one shaded panel doesn’t hold back the rest. Many trees are protected, so check with Northern Beaches Council before pruning anything. Homes backing onto bushland may also be in a bushfire-prone area, which affects where we mount equipment.
If your Avalon place is a holiday or weekender home, solar keeps producing while you’re away and a battery can cover fridges and standby loads overnight. App monitoring lets you check on the system remotely. Storms can bring trees down on power lines, and a battery set up for backup can keep essentials running until power is restored.
Frequently asked questions
Will my trees make solar pointless?
Not necessarily. Good layout and panel-level electronics can manage partial shade. We’ll assess your roof on site.
Is solar worth it for a holiday home?
It can be, especially with a battery covering overnight loads. We’ll look at how often the house is used.
Who is the network in Avalon?
Ausgrid. We handle the connection application.
