Solar & Battery Installers in Newcastle
Newcastle has workers’ cottages and terraces in the inner suburbs, brick homes across the western suburbs, and newer estates further out. Add the coastal suburbs, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens, and every job looks different. We travel to Newcastle and the surrounding region to install solar panels and home batteries for homes and businesses.
Our services
Residential solar from 6 kW
Our systems generally start at 6 kW. Small cottage roofs can limit what fits, so we tell you what’s realistic for yours.
Home batteries
Store daytime solar for your evening peak. Eligible batteries get an upfront discount through the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which we take off your quote. For batteries installed by 31 December 2026 it works out at roughly $270 per kWh of usable capacity for the first 14 kWh at current certificate prices, with a smaller discount above 14 kWh. The rate steps down on 1 January 2027.
Commercial and industrial solar
Workshops, warehouses and businesses around Newcastle often use power through the working day. We’ll review your usage and give you a clear proposal.
NSW households can also get a one-off incentive for signing their battery up to a virtual power plant (VPP), under the state’s Peak Demand Reduction Scheme. It applies to up to 28 kWh of capacity and is paid through participating VPP providers.

Cottages, heritage streets and coastal wind
Many inner-Newcastle homes are older cottages and terraces with small roofs, original switchboards and, in some streets, heritage controls. We’ll check whether your switchboard needs upgrading and whether heritage rules affect street-facing roofs, and plan a neat layout on the rear or side roofs where possible.
Closer to the beaches, coastal winds and salt are the main concerns. We use mounting rated for your site’s wind conditions and panels tested for salt-mist exposure, such as under IEC 61701. Around Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens, many homes have larger roofs, and the bigger question is battery placement, which we plan to the Australian battery standard, AS/NZS 5139.
