Solar & Battery Installers in Griffith

Solar for the Riverina’s hottest summers and busiest farms
All-black solar panels with black frames

Griffith is the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, and its summers are long and hot. Bureau of Meteorology figures for Griffith Airport average more than 80 days a year above 30°C. We travel to Griffith and the MIA to install solar panels and home batteries for homes, farms, packing sheds and local businesses.

Our services

Residential solar from 6 kW
Our home systems generally start at 6 kW. Griffith homes running air conditioning for months at a time often go larger, and we size the system from your bills.

Home batteries
Carry your midday solar into hot evenings, when the air conditioner is still working hard. Eligible batteries get an upfront discount through the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which we take off your quote. For batteries installed by 31 December 2026 it works out at roughly $270 per kWh of usable capacity for the first 14 kWh at current certificate prices, with a smaller discount for capacity above 14 kWh. The rate steps down on 1 January 2027.

Farm, winery and business solar
Irrigation pumps, cool rooms, packing sheds and wineries can use a lot of power in daylight hours. We’ll review your bills and tariffs and give you a clear proposal.

In NSW you may also be eligible for an upfront incentive under the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme when you connect your battery to a virtual power plant (VPP). It’s paid on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity, through participating VPP providers.

Solar for pumps, cool rooms and extreme heat

Irrigation pumps, cool rooms and packing sheds often run in the middle of the day, which is exactly when solar produces the most. If your pump or shed is on a separate meter, we’ll look at each supply on its own, since solar on one meter can’t offset another. We’ll also check your tariff, because the savings depend on when you use power.

Extreme heat lowers panel output and is tough on electronics. We choose panels with a good temperature rating, leave airflow under the array, and keep inverters and batteries out of direct afternoon sun, installed to the Australian battery standard, AS/NZS 5139. Inland storms can bring hail, so we use panels that meet the IEC 61215 standard, which includes hail impact testing.

Frequently asked questions

Can solar cover my irrigation pump?
It can offset daytime pumping if the pump is on a grid-connected supply. We’ll look at the meter, pump size and run times to see what’s realistic.

Who is the network in Griffith?
Griffith is on the Essential Energy network. We handle the connection application.

Will heat affect my battery?
Batteries have operating temperature limits, which is why placement matters. We install in shaded, ventilated spots such as a garage or shed wall.
