Solar & Battery Installers in Dubbo

Beat Dubbo’s summer power bills with solar and storage
All-black solar panels with black frames

Dubbo summers are hot. The Bureau of Meteorology’s long-term average January maximum at Dubbo Airport is about 34°C, and air conditioners run from late morning well into the evening. We travel to Dubbo and the Orana region to install solar panels and home batteries, so you can cool your home with your own power and carry it into the night.

Our services

Residential solar from 6 kW
Our home systems generally start at 6 kW, and many Dubbo homes with ducted air conditioning or a pool go larger. We size the system from your bills and roof space.

Home batteries
Store your midday solar for the hot evenings, when the air conditioner is still running. Eligible batteries get an upfront discount through the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which we take off your quote. For batteries installed by 31 December 2026 it works out at roughly $270 per kWh of usable capacity for the first 14 kWh at current certificate prices, with a smaller discount for capacity above 14 kWh. The rate steps down on 1 January 2027.

Commercial and agricultural solar
Workshops, retail, warehouses and farm operations often use most of their power during daylight hours, which suits solar well. We’ll review your bills and give you a clear proposal.

In NSW you may also be eligible for an upfront incentive under the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme when you connect your battery to a virtual power plant (VPP). It’s paid on up to 28 kWh of battery capacity, through participating VPP providers.

Designing solar for heat and storms

Heat affects solar panels, because output drops a little as cell temperatures rise. We choose panels with a good temperature rating and leave airflow under the array to help keep them cooler. Inverters and batteries also prefer shade, so we avoid west-facing walls that cop the afternoon sun and install batteries to the Australian standard, AS/NZS 5139.

Inland storms can bring hail and strong winds, so we use panels that meet the IEC 61215 standard, which includes hail impact testing, with mounting rated for your site’s wind conditions. For farms and acreage, a big shed roof can be the ideal place for panels. We’ll work out whether the shed or the house gives you the better result.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the network provider in Dubbo?
Dubbo is on the Essential Energy network. We handle the connection application for your system.

Will my panels cope with Dubbo heat?
Yes. Panels are built for Australian conditions. Output drops slightly on very hot days, which we allow for when we size your system.

Can I run my air conditioning on solar?
During the day, often yes. A battery can help keep it going into the evening. We’ll model this on your quote.
